Shiba Inu (SHIB) is a meme-inspired cryptocurrency that has evolved into a decentralized ecosystem. At its launch, half of the total token supply was sent to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin's wallet. He subsequently donated a portion to a COVID-19 relief fund in India and permanently burned the remaining tokens he received.

The ecosystem now includes ShibaSwap, a decentralized exchange that introduced two new tokens. LEASH is a limited-supply token used for providing incentives on the platform. BONE serves as a governance token, allowing holders to vote on proposals within the community's Doggy DAO.
